Why Do People Lie? What is It in Our Make-up?
Why do people lie when people just spend all their time trying not to be depressed. It’s amazing how much effort is employed to “keep up appearances” that we are all sane, normal well-balanced people whereas the truth is we are all so fundamentally unsure of our existence. This must be the main reason for why people lie. I mean no one is going to come out and admit they are a messed up person are they? It would send them insane if they tried to be honest about their human condition without having rational explanation for it – that’s why people lie. When you think about people who are clinically diagnosed as being insane it sometimes makes you think that who in the hell are those doctors and physicians that think they have the power to decide who’s insane and who’s not. They must think they’re God or something to make decisions like that. That must be another reason for why people lie – to try to keep themselves out of the looney bin!! There is one argument to ay that if people did not lie all the time then there would be insane asylums overflowing with people. In fact the whole situation would be reversed where the people inside the asylum would be the majority and the people outside would be still lying about their sanity!! Little children must be the ones who most frequently ask “why people lie” because they haven’t yet adopted a life in the crazy adult world so they must be constantly looking at all the madness and insane games that adults play and all the scheming and lying that is happening and constantly ask them themselves and their parents about why people lie. The great Scottish psychiatrist RD Laing once said that “insanity is a sane response to an insane world” which is an accurate assessment of the situation and seems to summarise the question of why people lie. It is human nature to keep trying in life, keep batting on, keep forging ahead despite all stresses and difficulties that we face, both internal and external. We make sure that we keep the depression at bay and always try and live in situations, which don’t make us think about our true situation. This is an important aspect of and puts a different spin on the question of why people lie. Using this line of argument is becomes clear that until we could find a fundamental, dignifying explanation for our mad behaviour then lying was an essential part of the human story of survival. The question of why people lie is self-evident namely, people have had to lie until we could find the truth about ourselves. Insane or not, young or old, rich or poor, lying at a fundamental level was imperative to the whole human journey.
I Found One of the Best Kid’s Books
I was searching for new books for my grandchildren and I came across a new book that is the best I’ve seen in a long time. It’s called Orange Down Under.
After reading this book with my grandkids, I was even more impressed than I thought I would be. The reviews were not exaggerated. This ranks among the best kid’s books because it is well written, it upholds high moral values, it is fun and exciting, it has a good plot, the characters are interesting and adorable, and the story line is captivating. Oh, and I must not neglect to mention how much we learned about Australia. My little ones loved it and so did I.
Then I discovered that this book is the first of a series! The second book is called Orange in the Land of Lakes and Volcanoes. I’m not sure what country that is but I can’t wait to read this book and find out! You should read them to your kids or grandkids too.
